Come learn about pollinators through the latest Grow Box!

Pollinator Grow Box

Spring is in the air and so are our very favorite pollinators! The Grow Box is a “subscription box” program that delivers garden fun for families right to their door. It is a partnership between North Carolina 4-H and the JC Raulston Arboretum and is intended to grow and nurture the agricultural curiosity of our current and new 4-H families.
The box comes with all the supplies and instructions you need to learn about pollinators. You will be able to enjoy the following activities:
  • Raise live painted lady butterfly larva: watch it transform into a butterfly!
  • Planting a pollinator garden with plants and seeds in your box.
  • Discovering the different pollinators in your backyard through a scavenger hunt and game.
  • Celebrate bees through making chapstick, tasting honey, and dancing.
  • And much more!

Program fees are $30 with registration on Eventbrite. Register by April 8, 2021; Estimated shipping date: April 12.

For any questions, please contact Liz Driscoll at liz_driscoll@ncsu.edu.
